Maen 12 Year Old Japanese Whisky is distilled in double copper pot stills and aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels, this pure malt whisky is expertly blended for a perfect balance of flavors.
Maen Whisky is described as a “splendid modern dram” by whisky aficionados worldwide. It is a meticulous blend of fine malt and grain which are finished in fine well-seasoned American white oak bourbon barrels. Its creamy texture is complemented by hints of woody aromas and fresh dried fruit which finish with hints of licorice, fresh vanilla, and nutmeg.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Deep gold
Aroma: Fruity, notes of citrus, vanilla, macadamia nut, cocoa powder, baking spices and charred oak
Palate: Indulgently rich, full and powerful. A smoky and moderate acidity delightfully tempered by the essence of vanilla malt.
Finish: Divine, offering up lingering notes of black tea and chocolate brownie
