Tenjaku Japanese Whiskey is created in the city of Fuefuki which is located in the eastern part of the Kofu Basin in the Yamanashi district. The heart of this well balanced whisky is made with famed natural spring water from the Misaka mountain range which lends to its minerality. It is extracted from 250 meters below the surface and is filtered through porous volcanic rock.

The whisky was created by Master Blender Kenji Watanabe, wh is renowned throughout the Japanese whisky and winemaking world from the 1990s and throughout the 2000s. Watanabe bases his philosophy on never losing focus – “be generous with time for your craft.”

Drawing together the individual characteristics of each unprocessed whisky for a harmonious, exquisitely balanced finish – Watanabe's delicate blending technique is unique to Japan.  With countless tasting and smelling sessions, the important processes involved in creating a blend see sophisticated techniques employed by a craftsman who applies his past experience in creating whiskies and extensive knowledge of flavors and aromas cultivated through many years of winemaking.

Tenjaku is the Japanese characters for the Skylark (Hibari) songbird.
