The Singleton Of Glendullan Scotch Single Malt 12 Year (750ml)

The U.S. Singleton comes from Glendullan, a distillery that makes a sweet, light spirit. Here, a percentage has been aged in ex-sherry casks, which has added a layer of fruity sweetness - think port-like sloe notes, Muscatel, and wisteria. The wood is lightly handled, allowing the aromas full rein on the palate. (Fall 2011) Reviewed by: Dave Broom APPEARANCE Old gold. NOSE Toffee, roasted nut and spice aromas. Some soft fragrant notes too; scented leather, sandalwood and vanilla. BODY Light to medium. PALATE Fresh, spicy then soft and pleasantly sweet throughout. Fruity with citrus and raisins, then vanilla and a hint of honey with just a trace of wood. FINISH Creamy smooth and slightly drying with a long peppery fade.
