Driftless Glen Small Batch Rye Whiskey (750mL)

Driftless Glen Small Batch Rye Whiskey is whiskey created and blended from about twenty barrels, hand-selected by Driftless Glen distillers. This high rye mash bill of our small batch preserves the grain’s distinct spice, even after years of age in our Wisconsin rickhouse. 

 The whiskey is bottled at 96 proof.

Driftless Glen Small Batch Rye Tasting Notes:

Color: light Gold

Aroma: sweet rye spices, cinnamon, vanilla, and honey are pleasantly pronounced. Moments later notes of clove and brown sugar present to create a wonderful whiff that make it difficult to put the glass down.

Palate: early on a rush of cinnamon and clove, followed by mid-back palate glowing warmth that coats the mouth. Then allspice and baking spices join in

Finish: medium, with a flash-back to a piece of old-fashioned clove stick candy.
