Tucked in the vineyards of Cambridge, Wisconsin just outside of Madison - the Dancing Goat was established by a collection of family and friends. They remain “True to the Goat” combining the Art and Science of Distillation from past experience with modern technology, and are continuously exploring new methods and techniques of distilling.

THOMAS MAAS, Papa Goat
Son of Duane H. Maas, who spent his career building distilleries in 8 countries, Thomas learned a lot from his father and built his own career in the industry. With over 35 years of experience, Tom's tenure brings an exceptional depth of knowledge to The Goat.
TRAVIS HASSE, Head Goat
Travis started his Apple Pie Liqueur brand on his kitchen table in 2008 from a family recipe. Since the launch he has expanded the Pie brand to include other flavors. His willingness to develop and take ideas to market has led to the house of brands at The Goat. Travis Hasse Pie Brands are now being produced at The Dancing Goat Distillery and can be found in select markets around the country.
NICHOLAS BRADY MAAS, Rising Goat
Grandson of the great Duane H. Maas, Nicholas started in the industry as a bartender for 10 years and has since done consulting work creating cocktail recipes and complete cocktail menus for several national chains. Nick has an exceptional palate behind the bar and in the kitchen. He was a returning showcase presenter at the American Baking and Sweets Show. Nick brings his experience and taste to The Goat as a head distiller.
With over 75 years of industry experience, Thomas, Travis and Nicholas have brought together their individual skill sets to bring you the Dancing Goat.
